For some, those extra pounds can be deadly. When your excess weight causes increased risk to your health with problems such as high blood pressure, heart disease or diabetes, weight loss surgery may be the answer you need to achieve control over your weight and your health.

The Bariatrics Program at St. Luke's Hospital is one of the few nationally to offer the Realize Adjustable Gastric Band-C, the newest generation of a device that is surgically implanted around the stomach to help people with morbid obesity lose weight and improve or resolve obesity-related health conditions, like Type 2 Diabetes, sleep apnea and high cholesterol.

Drs. Steve Webb, Carl Whelchel and John DePeri offer monthly informational sessions at SLH for those who would like to know more about this option. The sessions are free, but seating is limited.
If you would like to attend one of the sessions below, RSVP by calling 904-296-5880.
