Pregnancy and birth are natural and healthy events in the life of a family. Associates at St. Luke's Family Birth Place are committed to promoting wellness and positive attitudes about birth and parenting.

A Place For Comfort
The Labor-Delivery-Recovery-Postpartum rooms are private and beautifully decorated to provide a home-like atmosphere. A sleeping chair is available so that the new dad or other support person can stay with Mom in her room. The newborn will remain with Mom during her stay.

Unlike many maternity care units, The Family Birth Place was designed from the ground up to provide an elegant, inviting environment for pregnant women and their families. So even if you're just walking the hall, you'll still be surrounded by the soothing ambiance of warm color tones, gracious furnishings and other distinctive details.

Our visiting hours are flexible so your family can share in this special time. We encourage sibling visitation, however children may not spend the night.

Tours
Know what to expect when you plan to have your baby at The Family Birth Place. Free tours are offered on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and Saturdays at 2 p.m.. Please call 904-296-4345 before arrival to verify availability.

Childbirth And Sibling Classes
Childbirth classes cover a variety of topics like how to know you're in labor, breastfeeding and more. The class is 6-weeks and offered on weekday evenings. The cost is $60 per couple. It is recommended that parents are scheduled to complete the class a month prior to the baby's due date. If you plan to take this class, register near your 20th week to find the optimum class for you.

Sibling Classes are offered for big sisters and brothers-to-be between 3 and 8 years old. The class is offered one Saturday each month. The cost is $10 per child. It is recommended that children take this class within two months of the baby's due date.
