Director of Clinical Laboratory Services Named

Jacksonville, Fla., Jan. 18, 2008 - St. Vincent's HealthCare has appointed Lynnette Chakkaphak Director of Clinical Laboratory Services at St. Vincent's Medical Center and at St. Luke's Hospital when St. Vincent's HealthCare assumes operations of the hospital April 12. She will begin her new job Jan. 27.

 

Chakkaphak is currently the Program Director for the School of Medical Technology and Manager for Anatomic Pathology and Cytology at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Prior to joining the organization, she held several supervisory and clinical positions in clinical laboratories and education roles at community and junior colleges. 

 

Chakkaphak earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology at the University of Massachusetts and her Master of Science degree in Microbiology at the University of South Florida.  Chakkaphak serves on the Board of Directors for the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).  She has been elected to serve as Chair-Elect of the American Society for Clinical Pathology Member Council and continues to serve as the Regional Representative for the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern Regions and on the National Scholarship Committee.
