| Director of Campus Plans and Operations Named for St. Luke's Dec. 31, 2007, Jacksonville, FL – St. Vincent’s HealthCare officials announced Jon Yow has been named the future Director of Campus Plans and Operations for St. Luke’s Hospital. On January 7, 2008, Yow will join the St. Vincent’s HealthCare staff as they transition St. Luke’s Hospital operations to the St. Vincent’s HealthCare system.
Yow will lead and administer campus plans and operations functions for St Luke’s Hospital to ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation agency requirements and hospital policies. He will develop and administer processes for facility management, engineering, physical plant, safety and security, emergency preparedness, biomedical equipment repair, environmental services and linen supply operations. Yow will also be responsible for master planning of the medical campus infrastructure and leading the process of ensuring effective space utilization of existing facilities.

Yow has been with ThermoFisher Scientific Asset Management Services from 2004 until the present serving as a Client Service Manager, Director of the Government Division and a Government Division Site Staff Manager. He served as Director of Real Property at Drawbase, Inc. from 2003-2004. From 1986 – 2003 he served in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Major before retiring in 2003. There he enjoyed a decorated career in medical facilities planning/design/construction/maintenance and supervision. Among his awards: the Meritorious Service Medal (four times, designated by three oak leaf clusters); Air Force Commendation Medal (twice, designated by an oak leaf cluster); and the Air Force and Army Achievement Medals.
Yow holds a Master of Science degree in Building Construction form the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering from Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN. He is also a graduate of the United States Air Force Squadron Officer School and Air Command and Staff College.
Yow is a member of the Sigma Lambda Chi National Construction Honor Society and a Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager.
St. Vincent’s HealthCare will assume operations at St. Luke’s Hospital in April 2008, when Mayo Clinic moves into its new facility at its San Pablo Campus. |
