3 Managers Named For St. Luke's Hospital

Dec. 14, 2007, Jacksonville, FL St. Vincent’s HealthCare executives announced the hiring of three individuals into future managerial positions for St. Luke’s Hospital. On April 12, 2008, St. Luke’s, Florida’s oldest, private hospital will become part of the St. Vincent’s HealthCare system. LaRhonda Brown will be Manager of the Care Management Department. Jennifer Gunn will be Manager of the Laboratory. Tracy Williams will be Manager of Rehabilitation Services.

 

Brown has been a social worker in St. Vincent’s Care Management Department since 2005. Prior to joining St. Vincent’s Medical Center, she was a family support counselor at Big Bend Hospice. Ms. Brown earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Fla., and a master’s degree in social work from Florida State University, in Tallahassee.

 

As Manager of the Care Management Department at St. Luke’s Hospital, Brown will oversee the day to day operations of clinical staff and will be accountable for employee hiring, development and supervision as well as managing performance processes for the clinical functions.

 

Gunn joined St. Vincent’s HealthCare in 2000 as a night shift supervisor. She received a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master in Business Administration degree from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Fla.

 

As Manager for St. Luke’s laboratory, Gunn will oversee all laboratory functions performed at the hospital and be responsible for the laboratory’s financial activities, clerical and computer functions and retaining a competent, well-trained staff.

 

Williams has been working as a physical therapist at St. Vincent’s HealthCare since 2006. Prior to working at St. Vincent’s, she was clinical director for a Heartland Rehabilitation office. She earned a bachelor’s degree in health science, sports medicine-athletic training, and a Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla.

 

As Manager of St. Luke’s Hospital Rehabilitation Services, Williams will establish goals and objectives for the department, supervise the staff of physical, occupational and speech therapists, maintain compliance with legal requirements and licensure standards and direct department operations to comply with Joint Commission standards.
